Dr. Fiyah Oates – Founder and Facilitator

Dr. D. Fiyah Oates (“Dr. Fiyah”) holds a PhD in Transpersonal Psychology from the Theological Institute of Transpersonal Psychology.  She has completed 80 hours of GACA (Georgia Addictions Counselor’s Association) certification hours through ACTS consulting.   In 2014 she graduated from the Faith Leadership Academy at Morehouse School of Medicine, presented by the Southeast Addictions Technology Transfer Center and funded by SAMSA.  Dr. Fiyah is certified in counseling survivors of sexual abuse, sexual trafficking and sexual abuse prevention.

Most recently, Dr. Fiyah is a case manager and facilitator for A New Way Forward and heads the women’s division of the “University for Parents” a National CARES mentoring movement initiative fostered by Susan L. Taylor of Essence Magazine.  Dr. Fiyah also holds a Master Life Coaching Certificate and has completed state required Family Violence Intervention and Prevention (Domestic Violence) basic training and has been trained in several curriculums.  She also co-create, alongside her colleague Dr. Jerome Maultsby, a training for gender sensitivity in facilitation.

Dr. Fiyah’s body of work consists of being the creator of a unique empowerment model called the “W.O.W. Walk on Water”.  This model that she has created assists individuals through the process of self-awareness and self-discovery.  Ultimately individuals learn how to accept responsibility and through the process experience new levels of emotional freedom and inner transformation.

Dr. Fiyah is a Master Life Coach and is the founder of Transcendent Life Coaching Institute and co-founder of the Theological Institute of Transpersonal Psychology which gives out Master of Divinity degrees in transpersonal Psychology.  She also has a private practice in Decatur, Georgia.

Dr. Jerome Maulstby

Dr. Jerome Maultsby, Dean and Facilitator

Dr. Jerome Maultsby, affectionately known as “Dr. Jerome”, received his bachelor’s degree from Seattle University, majoring in sociology and psychology. He earned both his Doctor of Transpersonal Psychology and Masters of Divinity from the Theological Institute of Transpersonal Psychology. His professional focus encompasses individual and group counseling, intervention counseling, and recovery treatment for substance abuse and domestic violence perpetrators.

Dr. Jerome formerly served 1 year as the Vice President of the Board and 6 years on the Advisory Board at STAND, Inc. a leading organization which addresses the healing of post incarcerated individuals with substance abuse and mental health disorders.  He has served on The Board of DeKalb Regional Youth Detention Center, President of the Board of Directors for Uplifting People, Inc.   He is currently a member of Dekalb County Task Force on Domestic Violence and is a certified Family Violence and Prevension Counselor.  He is also certified in anger management.

For 2 years Dr. Jerome served as the Project Manager for Project RESTORE, a grant from the Department of Labor for youth between the ages of 16 through 24 that gave direction towards sustainability and restoration after being in the Juvenile Justice System and/or the Department of Corrections.  He also Project Managed the Second Chance Federal initiative for the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office for adult men and women, with the same goals of achieving sustainability.  In addition Dr. Jerome did similar work with the adult population for Project Synergy, also a post and pre-release program.

Dr. Jerome is proud to be serving as the head of the male division and adjunct professor for the University for Parents and “A New Way Forward”, a National CARES Mentoring Movement initiative, founded by Susan L. Taylor of Essence Magazine.

Dr. Jerome describes himself as a very passionate practitioner who enjoys community service and serving mankind who deserve a second chance in society.  He recognizes that this work is a gift and a journey for the giver and the receiver.

Dr. Sharon Hill, Director, International Vision

Dr. Hill is a strategic leader, life coach, educator, and evaluator with a proven track record of organizational leadership, exceptional teaching methods, and skill in conducting evaluations to enhance programs that support vulnerable populations. She is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University (GSU).  She also taught at the University of Tennessee (Chattanooga) and Clark Atlanta University.   Dr. Hill has over 30 years of experience in government and non-profit leadership. She served as the Director of Planning, Research, and Evaluation (PRE) in the Georgia Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget (OPB).

Dr. Hill was the Director and Deputy Director of the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) where she was responsible for leadership of over 7,000 employees providing a wide range of services to individuals and families.  She was Director of Federal Regulations and Data (DFCS) where she analyzed child welfare and economic assistance data for federal programs such as foster care and adoptions, SNAP, TANF, and Medicaid.  She was the Manager of Community-Based Services for the Elderly and Persons with Disabilities with the Texas Department of Human Services.  She has served on the Advisory Boards of Hope Givers, Goshen Valley Boys Ranch, Multi-Agency Alliance for Children, and youthSpark (focus on sexual exploitation of children).

Dr. Hill conducts quantitative and qualitative evaluations of policy and program effectiveness. Some of the organizations she has worked with include the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services, Multi-Agency Alliance for Children, National CARES Mentoring Movement (HBCU Rising and University for Parents), Transcendent Life Coaching Institute, and LGC Core (focused on child welfare practices in South Carolina).

Since 2016, Dr. Hill has had the privilege of being the Academic Director for the GSU Leadership Institute of the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders. She designs and implements an intensive six-week, Public Management leadership program for individuals from across Sub-Saharan Africa.  She is responsible for providing them with programming that includes academic classes, mentorships, professional networking with U.S. leaders, and community service activities.  To date, she has trained, coached, and mentored 150 outstanding young African leaders.  She received two reciprocal exchanges from The International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX) to collaborate with African leaders.  The first was a virtual reciprocal exchange in August 2021 to conduct a two-day women and girls’ leadership and empowerment conference. The conference was attended by almost 400 individuals from 38 countries in Africa, as well as others in Germany, India, Brazil, and the United States.  She is currently collaborating with two Ghanaian individuals on a reciprocal exchange for two, two-day leadership workshops for medical doctors and psychiatrists in Accra and Tamale (Ghana) in June 2023. She received an American Impact Award in 2022 from IREX that recognized her work to bring attention to the plight of women and girls in Africa.

Dr. Hill received a Ph.D. in Public and Urban Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington, a Master’s in Urban and Public Administration from the University of Illinois at Chicago, a Master’s in Guidance and Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University, and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi.  She received her certification in life coaching from the Transcendent Life Coaching Institute. She is also a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach.

Geoffrey Ingram, Chief Operations Officer and Facilitator

Mr. Ingram is a Master Certified Life and Leadership Coach, Author of “The Power of One Leadership Playbook”, International Motivational Speaker and the CEO and founder of iCreate Inc. International, an organization devoted to the holistic cultivation, development and empowerment of the next generation of the most creative and influential people who lead around the world.

With over 20 years of leadership experience in marketing, sales and operations across different industries including retail, food, non-profit and education, he has trained, coached, and mentored hundreds of top performing managers, small business owners, executives, administrators, pastors, educators, and students from around the world.

Whether he’s coaching a CEO of a growing company, delivering one of the several keynote addresses, workshops and seminars in the US, Jamaica, and Bahamas each year, or training a team of leaders online, Geoffrey uses captivating energy and imagery from his experiences to masterfully create an environment that produce provocative, inspiring, and workable solutions to the many problems and obstacles people who lead face. People’s minds and perspectives of who they are and what they can do or become are transformed and empowered to take a better handle of how they manage their lives and organizations.

Being once a teen father, now husband of 15 years and counting, father of eight, and an , Geoffrey is very passionate about family and empowering the next generation to begin the journey of self-mastery as soon as possible and to commit to mastery of their gifts, talents and other marketable skills to thrive in any environment they may enter. He has worked as Youth Pastor, behavioral aid, mentor and speaker in middle schools, high schools in Georgia and at colleges like the University of Tennessee, Georgia State University and Beulah Heights University.

He and his wife, Nicoya have devoted themselves to empowering families around the world through the It Takes a Village Project, a 501c3 non-profit organization they founded in 2013 whose mission is to engage, enrich and empower families to have healthy relationships, successful careers and balanced lifestyles. It Takes a Village Project has provided food, clothing, education mentorship and life-skills training for hundreds of men, women, students and parents in the US, Jamaica, and Bahamas each year since 2016.

Pastor Dedric

Pastor Dedric Avery – Facilitator and Ordinator

Dedric M. Avery (Oba Chikelu), B.A., is a native of Decatur, Georgia. Avery attended University of West Georgia and Belhaven University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies and will be completing and received a Master of Organizational Leadership degree.

Avery also has earned several professional executive management certifications from University of Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business. He also uses his Organizational Development skillsets to consult and support several companies and veterans service organizations.

Currently, he faithfully serves as Senior Pastor of the Salt &Light Truth Center in Decatur, Georgia. Since 2004, Pastor Avery has led this progressive and non- traditional community of worshippers through the process of asset attainment and spiritual awakening.

From an alternative perspective, Avery has obtained certifications in Life Empowerment Strategy, African Holistic Health Consultation and Reiki. His main life purpose is to be an agent of positive change to impact the community and world with transformational and servant leadership.

Pastor Avery is a dynamic leader, teacher, speaker, strategist, visionary, musician, model, actor, scholar, activist, vocalist, writer and a proud United States Army Veteran.

Avery is most fulfilled and accomplished, when he is accompanied by his two beautiful daughters N’dea and J’sari .

Ikeeta Hillary – Facilitator

As a facilitator of “A New Way Forward”, the flagship course for the University for Parents, Ikeeta Hilliary partners with the National CARES Mentoring Movement Initiative, a program designed in part to promote self- love, personal growth, and transformation.  Ikeeta facilitates our life coaching classes, in addition to anger management.

Ikeeta attended Claflin University in Orangeburg, SC where she studied Mass Communications with a concentration in Broadcast Journalism.  While at Claflin, she hosted a show on the school’s local radio station and worked on two publicly broadcasted television shows.  She was selected to co-host “Teen Talk”, a show that was used as a platform to discuss issues relevant to teens that attended the area high schools (think Teen Summit, which aired on BET in the 90’s).  She served as co-host for two years, and it was during that time that she discovered her passion for fostering personal growth.

Still committed to her own personal growth and development, she enrolled in the Transcendent Life Coaching Institute and earned a Master Life Coaching Certification under the tutelage of Dr. Fiyah Oates and Dr. Jerome Maultsby.  Since graduation from TLC Institute, she also serves on staff as a facilitator.  In addition, she is a Certified Anger Management Specialist II and an Ordained Officiant.

Sharon Reid

Sharon Reid, Thee Heart Lady, Facilitator

An Engaging speaker, dynamic facilitator and author, Sharon Reid, affectionately known as  Thee Heart Lady, is a powerful presence. She has a reputation for delivering impactful, life-changing experiences.

Sharon has been serving the Health and Wellness Industry for more than 35 years. Her mission is to offer a new perspective in health care, aligning it with transformative relationship healing, and guidance towards a divine heart purpose.

She helps her clients recover from emotional wounds, reconcile their relationship with themselves, partner, family or peers, in the process they are able to strengthen their overall well-being. Sharon believes, “the heart impacts the quality of our health, how we love and the way we live”.

Thee Heart Lady, is top-rated! She is a licensed Healthcare Professional, that’s why she is an expert Health Coach, managing stress, anxiety, depression, among other varying mood experiences.  Sharon works alongside Psychotherapists, Naturopath and Medical physicians to ensure the best and satisfied results.

Rev Reid, has earned a Doctorate of Divinity and holds certifications in specialty fields of coaching; Life Coach Trainer, Master Neuro-Linguistic Practitioner, Master Hypnotherapist and a phenomenal Relationship Specialist.

Ras Yudah

Folajimi ‘Ras Yudah’ Fadahunsi Facilitator and Meditation Master

Ras Yudah is deeply endowed in the transformational sciences. With both a bachelors and masters degree in metaphysical sciences he’s a devoted student of the humanitarian transformative arts. His studies with the Transcendent Life Coaching Institute has furthered his ability to communicate and educate his audience toward the higher versions of themselves. Ras focuses on the arts of physical wellness as well.

With a bachelors degree in Kinesiology (exercise science) and a background in agricultural education he emphasizes the importance of exercise and nutrition. His motive is to truly focus on all aspects of well-being by webbing together all his areas of study and bringing forward the full spectrum of expansive vibrations. Ras enjoys lively activities such as gardening, hiking, exercise, music, and biological  studies.

Maya Wiseman- Master Life Coach & Facilitator

Maya Wiseman graduated from the Transcendent Life Coaching Insititute in April 2021 under the program that was created by Dr. Fiyah Oates and Dr. Jerome Maultsby. She currently holds a certificate as a Fundamental Master Life Coach with over 30 practiced life coaching hours, as well as 8 hours of accredited Anger Management from the Open Path online program. She has received her ordination from the Salt and Light Truth Center led by Deric Avery, which grants her the ability to perform weddings and funeral ceremonies. She received a certification of completion in the Existential Harm Reduction Prototype Course facilitated by Mara Collins of Bird’s Eye View Counseling.

As a motivational performance artist she has acted out various stories (dealing with feelings and emotions) on stage over the years, using her personal narrative as a motivational tool for the audience. In addition to preforming on stage she has also used her talents, in the office settings, to create a one-of-a-kind educational seminar about the use of people’s proper pronouns in the LGBTQ+ community.

Maya has a unique variety of skills that have given her the ability to be not only a student, but also a teacher. She has always been a mentor of sorts… Working as a nanny/household manager, gardener/farmer and as an advocate for the LGBTQ community. These skills have taught her patience, how to listen and develop the fundamental abilities to be an amazing life coach! Looking into the future she is working to create a personal, lifestyle brand. While going through the Transcendent program she learned to craft her expertise and how to become an effective Facilitator. She is working diligently to help shape the minds, hearts and souls of all students who invest in the program!
